Servings: 4 1.4oz Shots
- 5 oz Fresh Ginger Root 2 med sized pieces, peeled and washed
- 1 whole Juice of Lemon
- 8 tbsp Coconut Water
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper or cayenne pepper
- Honey optional, as desired
Add all ingredients in the cup of your high-speed blender. Cover with the lid and pulse until the ginger has puréed.
Strain the ginger mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a container, pressing the solids with the back against the mesh with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
Pour the strained ginger liquid into a shot glass and drink immediately all at once.
- Use young or less ginger for a more mild taste.
- You do not have to peel the ginger, put ensure it is thoroughly cleaned.
- Don't have a cheesecloth? You can use a fine-mesh strainer as an alternative.
- If you don't have a high-speed blender, use a grater to grate the ginger then strain and combine with lemon juice and other natural additives.
- Straining the juice is totally optional. If you prefer pulp, skip that step.
