How to Make Christmas Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

  1. Warm Milk – in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, add milk. Whisk constantly until milk is steamy. Do not let the mixture come to a boil.
  2. Stir in White Chocolate – add the white chocolate pieces to the saucepan and whisk until chocolate melted and fully incorporated and mixture smooth.
  3. Add Peppermint Extract – remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract.
  4. Serve and Top – pour into serving cups and top with whipped cream, crushed peppermint candies or any toppings of your choice.

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan

Ingredients 

  • 4 cups Milk, 2% or any milk of your choice
  • 5 oz Quality White Chocolate
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp Peppermint Extract, more or less to taste
  • pinch Salt
  • Toppings
  • Whipped Cream, homemade or store-bought
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Peppermint Candies, crushed

Instructions 

  • In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, add milk. Whisk constantly until milk is steamy. Do not let the mixture come to a boil.
  • Add the white chocolate pieces to the saucepan and whisk until chocolate melted and fully incorporated and mixture smooth; remove from heat.
  • Stir in peppermint extract. Pour into serving cups and top with whipped cream, crushed peppermint candies or any toppings of your choice.

Notes

Be sure to heat the milk gently over medium-low heat, do not let milk come to a boil or you run the risk of it curdling.
