We tend to associate Tzatziki with mainly Greek cuisine, however it is served and loved across the Middle East & the Mediterranean! It can be served with grilled meats, and the famous Gyros, as well as with grilled vegetables, or as part of an appetizer cheese board, vegetable, hummus, olive spread. Whichever way you decide to enjoy or serve this dip, sauce, or spread – you’ll be happy!

Recipe Tips and Notes

Drain your Cucumbers – you want to get rid of excess moisture from the cucumbers. There are other methods, that time a longer time, however the best way is to simply squeeze the grated cucumber over the sink.

Greek Yogurt – be sure to use Greek Style Yogurt. There isn’t much difference in whether you use whole-milk, low-fat, or non-fat yogurt, so any will do!

Once your ingredients are combined, you want to ensure you set aside for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavours to meld. You may want to dig in right away, but it will taste so much better if you wait the few extra minutes!
