Extra guacamole please and thank you! There are so many ways to enjoy this amazing dip, spread or however you decide to dig into the goodness of mashed avocados! Easy, fresh, and authentic – this recipe is definitely one to try and one you’ll enjoy!
So, I totally understand there are people out there that don’t enjoy avocados and guacamole. Perhaps, its the texture, the flavours, or some of the ingredients like the cilantro. I too was one of those people – who didn’t particularly enjoy all this deliciousness. UNTIL ONE DAY! I can’t remember when, or how – but what I do recall is immediately becoming obsessed, o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d! Guacamole has become one of my favourite dips to make – it needs no fillers, unnecessary or unhealthy additives. Just fresh, quality ingredients with a pinch of salt & cracked pepper!

Notes & Recipe Tips
Start with ripe Avocados – you don’t want to use hard avocados, the taste and texture of the guacamole will be off. You also was to ensure the “button” or brown stem piece at the top of the avocado is still in place as it acts as a seal so air can’t get into the avocado.
Keep it Green – there’s no natural way to stop guacamole from turning brown (the oxidization process happens pretty darn quick). However, you can slow it down by using squeezes of fresh lime (acidity helps), covering with plastic (ensuring a tight seal so no air can get in), and keeping it cold, even when you serve.
What Variety of Avocado – Hass Avocados are best for making guacamole as other varieties contain more water which don’t make for great guac.
